1. The borrower is responsible for the safe custody of issued books.

2. The borrower is liable for any loss or damage to issued books.

3. Lost or damaged books must be replaced with the latest edition.

4. If a book is out of print, the borrower must pay its original cost along with a fine of Rs. 2000/-.

5. Before leaving the library counter, the borrower must report any damage or mutilation to the Library Assistant. Failure to do so will hold the borrower responsible for replacement or payment as per point (4).

6. If an issue of a periodical is lost, it must be replaced, or the cost of the entire volume must be paid. For a lost part of a multi-volume set, the borrower must replace the issue or cover the cost of the entire set.

7. NDC will not be issued until lost books or documents are replaced.
